Privacy Policy
Draft — not yet in effect. Last updated 13 September 2026.
This is a working draft. It describes what the app is built to do today, and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. It must not be relied on as a published policy, and will be replaced before bagwrk is offered to the public.
Who we are
bagwrk is a self-custody crypto application. This policy explains what personal data the app collects, why, and who else sees it. The legal entity operating bagwrk, and its contact address for data requests, will be named here before launch.
What we collect
- Account identity. The email address or social account you sign in with, and a username you choose.
- Wallet addresses. The public blockchain addresses created for your account. These are public by nature: anything sent to or from them is visible to anyone.
- Trading activity. Trades you make through the app — asset, amount, price, fee and outcome — so we can show your history and calculate what you paid.
- Device and diagnostic data. App version, device model, operating system, and error reports, used to fix crashes and abuse.
What we do not collect
- Your private keys. Keys for your wallet are managed by our wallet provider's secure infrastructure and are not available to us in a form we could use to move your funds.
- Payment card details. bagwrk does not take card payments today.
Why we use it
To create and secure your account, to execute and settle trades you ask for, to show your balance and history accurately, to detect fraud and abuse, and to meet legal obligations that apply to us.
Who we share it with
We use third-party providers to run the service. Each receives only what it needs:
- Wallet and authentication provider — creates and secures your wallet, and verifies your sign-in.
- Trade routing provider — receives the addresses and amounts required to route and settle a trade.
- Market data provider — supplies prices and token information. It receives queries, not your identity.
- Infrastructure and node providers — host the service and read public blockchain state on your behalf.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. Providers will be named individually in the published version.
Blockchain data is permanent
Transactions you make are written to public blockchains. That record is outside our control, cannot be edited or deleted by us or by you, and may be linked to you by anyone who knows one of your addresses. Please treat anything you do on-chain as permanent and public.
How long we keep it
Account and trade records are kept for as long as your account exists, and afterwards only where we are required to retain them. Diagnostic data is kept for a short period and then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Write to [email protected]. Deleting your bagwrk account removes our records; it does not and cannot remove anything already written to a blockchain.
Children
bagwrk is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will say so in the app before the change takes effect, rather than only updating the date here.
